A number of players could be missing when Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to title chasing Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds are set to be without goalkeeper Alisson and forward Diogo Jota, while the Gunners will be missing Martin Odegaard and William Salina, and could also be without winger Bukayo Saka.

Liverpool currently boast a four-point lead over third-placed Arsenal, and Mikel Arteta will hope to see his side pull themselves back into title contention with victory at The Emirates.

In the meantime, it appears that the North London side are chasing one of Serie A’s most prolific forwards.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal have made Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic their prime target up front.

The report claims that those in charge of the London side are concerned about their perceived lack of goals, and they have therefore made Vlahovic, 24, their top target.

Vlahovic has emerged as Arsenal’s number one transfer target in attack

The Serbia international has scored 48 goals in 112 games for The Old Lady since a move from Fiorentina in January 2022.

It is claimed that the Gunners are prioritising a move for a ‘Harry Kane sort of player’ who will lead the line and guarantee goals.

Vlahovic is believed to have turned down a proposed move to Arsenal three years ago, but the Serbian has since remained high on their list of targets and they could now move for him as he will soon enter the final 18 months of his current contract.

Juventus could therefore be willing to agree a cut-price deal for the striker if they can’t agree a contract extension, and Arsenal could look to take advantage of the situation next summer.

There is said to be growing belief at Arsenal that a deal for Vlahovic could be completed next year.
