Arsenal prepare to offer in-form forward a contract extension

Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer forward Joel Campbell a contract extension beyond the end of the current season, according to The Telegraph.

The Costa Rica international is currently in the best form of his Gunners’ career, and has forced his way into the starting XI in recent weeks.

It has been quite a turnaround for the 23-year-old, who looked set to leave the Emirates last summer after spending time out on loan at a number of clubs, including Olympiakos.

Campbell was especially impressive in the North London club’s crucial final Champions League group game against his former team, in which they advanced to a last-16 tie against Barcelona.
