Arsenal are reportedly considering selling Germany international defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who visit Anfield on Sunday to take on Liverpool in the English top-flight, have been linked with offloading the centre-half before the close of the summer transfer window on Thursday (August 31).

The 25-year-old, who has 19 international caps for his country, played the full 90 minutes in The Gunners’ 1-0 defeat at Stoke City last weekend – his first competitive appearance of the 2017-18 campaign.

Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi.

Mustafi, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium only last August following his reported £35m switch from La Liga outfit Valencia, has scored two goals and provided two assists in 38 games in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side overall.

However, amid some late summer interest in the defender’s services from Serie A clubs Juventus and Inter Milan, the report suggests Arsenal will part with the German before next Thursday’s deadline if they recoup the entire £35m fee they splashed out this time last year.
