Arsenal are reportedly lining up a surprise January move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
The Premier League side, who trail league leaders Leicester City by two points at the top of the table, have expressed an interest in recruiting the in-form Bayer Leverkusen hitman next month.
The 27-year-old, who has 74 international caps for Mexico, has scored a sensational 19 goals in just 25 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.
Hernandez, who left Old Trafford for a measly £7.3m back in August, has been scoring goals for fun in Germany this term, prompting Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to try and bring him back to the Premier League to help their push for a first title since 2004.
Despite scoring 59 goals in just over 150 games for Man Utd during his five-year spell at the club, the striker was deemed surplus to requirements under Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal before the start of this campaign.
