Arsenal receive boost in their pursuit of AS Roma’s Cengiz Ünder

Arsenal are the favourites to sign AS Roma winger Cengiz Ünder, according to talkSPORT.

The 21-year-old is one of Europe’s brightest young talents having impressed for the Italian club since his move from İstanbul Başakşehir in 2016.

This has attracted the likes of German champions Bayern Munich and La Liga holders Barcelona.

However, it’s being reported that the player favours a move to the Premier League which puts the Gunners, who have also been tracking the wide man, firmly in the driving seat.

Unai Emery has had a decent start to his career at the Emirates, winning the last seven Premier League matches on the bounce.

Unai Emery is keen on Cengiz Ünder.

But, despite his team’s good run of form, he’s keen to bolster his ranks in January as he aims to put more of his own stamp on the squad.

Ünder has scored 11 times in 42 appearances for the side that reached the last-four of the Champions League last term.
