Arsenal have knocked back Sheffield United in their attempts to sign forward Folarin Balogun, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has netted over 50 goals in just 70-odd appearances for the Gunners’ Under-18s and 23s combined.

Balogun’s prolific strike rate in front of goal has, according to the Daily Mail, attracted interest from fellow Premier League club Sheffield United.

It’s claimed the Blades have even made a bid of £3million in order to try and land the New York born goal-getter.

However, the North London club have rejected that offer and are reportedly looking for around £15million for their teenage star, despite him being in the final year of his contract.

Despite his numbers at youth level, it seems unlikely he will break into Mikel Arteta’s first-team in the near future with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him in the pecking order.
