Arsenal produced another fine display to beat Burnley 5-0 on Saturday, keeping alive their hopes of winning the Premier League title.

The Gunners had looked to have blown their chances of winning the title this term after a poor run of form over the festive period, but five consecutive victories have pulled Mikel Arteta’s side back into the race.

The North London side now sit second in the top flight table, just two points behind league leaders Liverpool.

While Arteta’s side have been in fine form on the pitch, it appears that those in charge of Arsenal’s recruitment have been busy off it.

As per Football Transfers, the Gunners have scouted Red Bull Salzburg star Oscar Gloukh.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is enjoying a fine season for the Austrian side, impressing both domestically and in the Champions League.

Gloukh is a target for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window

Having joined RB Salzburg from Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv in January last year, and has since played 45 times for his current side.

This season the teenager has played 28 times across all competitions, and has scored twice and provided one assist in six games in the Champions League.

It is claimed that the Gunners have been monitoring Gloukh with a view to potentially making a move to sign him this summer, and the North London side had scouts in attendance to watch him during Salzburg’s 1-1 draw against Blau Weiss Linz on Saturday.

Gloukh is currently contracted to Salzburg until until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but his current side could face a battle to keep hold of him until that date.

The Gunners could face stiff competition in the race to sign Gloukh, though, with Spanish giants Barcelona also said to have shown an interest in signing the youngster.
