Arsenal are on the trail of Bahia starlet Ramires, according to UOL Esporte.

The 18-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Brazilian side this season, scoring once, and has caught the eye of clubs in Europe.

One of those is thought to be Arsenal, who have reportedly sent scouts to watch the prospect on six separate occasions.

Unai Emery has had a decent start to life in charge of the Gunners with his side currently enjoying an unbeaten run of 14 matches in all competitions.

Ahead of the January transfer window, the Spaniard is planning to add young players to his squad which can be part of the club’s future.

Guendouzi is another teenager (19) who’s been brought in and flourished at first-team level.

A defensive midfielder by trade, the teenage talent certainly fits the bill in terms of what the north London outfit are looking for.

And with the season in Brazil ending in December, the timing could be just right for Ramires to make the big move to the Premier League.

However, Arsenal may have to compete with Atletico Madrid for the signing, with the Spanish side having also been to watch the Bahia man.
