Arsenal have reportedly set a £30m price tag for wantaway Germany international star Mesut Ozil, according to the Daily Star.
The Premier League side, who were defeated 3-1 by league leaders Manchester City last weekend, risk losing the midfielder in the summer, with his current contract set to expire in June 2018.
The 29-year-old, who has 86 international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided two assists in nine Premier League appearances for The Gunners so far this season.
Ozil, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium back in September 2013 following his then club-record £42.5m switch from La Liga giants Real Madrid, has netted 33 times in 170 games in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s side overall.
However, the central midfielder has failed to commit his future to the North London outfit this year, meaning there is just over seven months remaining on his current deal.
The report suggests Arsenal have decided to cash in on the German in January, seeking a £30m transfer fee, rather than lose him for free at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, with Premier League rivals Manchester United interested in his services.
