Arsenal set for battle with Premier League rivals for sought after German

Arsenal have been joined by Premier League rivals Everton in the race to sign Hoffenheim defender, Niklas Sule, according to German newspaper, Bild (via TalkSport).

The 21-year-old is already reportedly being watched by the Gunners as well as London rivals, Tottenham whilst Liverpool are also interested.

The German international, who made his debut in August, is also being considered as a target for Diego Simeone and his Atletico Madrid side.

Sule has, aside from missing one game through injury, been a mainstay for the Bundesliga side so far this season, having won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics over the summer.

The defender could be tempted to The Emirates due to the addition of his national teammate, and former Everton youngster, Shkodran Mustafi.

A defender was high on the list for Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger over the summer and the signing of Sule would only solidify the back line further.
