Arsenal are one of several Premier League clubs with an abundance of impressive young talent among their ranks at present.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli have all proved their worth in the first team over the past two seasons, and all look set to maintain their places ahead of the upcoming campaign.

One youngster who may well be plying their trade elsewhere, however, is Joe Willock, as the midfielder has, according to Sky Sports, agreed a deal to join Newcastle United.

Willock was arguably the Premier League’s standout player during the final ten games of last season.

The 21-year-old impressed last season for the Magpies, scoring eight times and became the youngest player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games.

Now it’s reported that the two parties have made a breakthrough in discussions over personal terms.

A deal worth around £22 million had been agreed between Newcastle and Arsenal earlier this week.

Now it appears that the deal is now one step closer and that Willock could be announced as a Newcastle player in the coming days.

Willock didn’t feature in Arsenal’s pre-season fixture against rivals Tottenham Hotspur last week due to the ongoing speculation.
