Arsenal simply must sign a striker in January – and here’s why

Giroud is not the answer

Olivier Giroud has been in good form recently, helping himself to goals and assists in the later stages of games as opposition defences tire. The Frenchman’s towering header that earned Arsenal a dramatic late point at Old Trafford is an obvious example.

But time and time again Giroud has proved that he’s just not consistent enough across a whole campaign. He goes through spells where he can’t stop scoring, only to then follow it up with lengthy goal droughts. Arsenal need a striker that scores throughout the season, whisper it, but they could do with a Harry Kane.

Arsenal has quality players to win the league but may not even win any trophy Why?Blame not the players but Wenger whose duty is to build a team to win matches.Which team will sell a top striker to you in January? A striker is as good as other team members. In Old Trafford no single shot on target until 89th minute. At home no shot on target for 45minutes against PSG.At home against Southhapton,no single shot on target throughout the first 45 minutes as well. You can not blame players for these shambolic performance since it is now a trend. How does the Manager prepare his team? Why do international players play with languor when in Arsenal shirts?Arsenal has improved on signing quality players over a period of 4 years now but results are still top 4 and knock out after group stage in Champions League over the years. The problem in AFC is that of management (poor coaching bad team and match management .No more no less.
