Arsenal will be hoping to record a second successive Premier League victory when they travel to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side impressed when beating Wolves 2-0 on the opening weekend of the new season, and the Spaniard will hope to see the Gunners emerge victorious against the Villans next time out.

In the meantime, it appears that one of Arsenal’s attackers could soon be on his way to another Premier League side.

As reported by Football Insider, striker Eddie Nketiah has agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old forward has been at Arsenal since a young age but has failed to ever establish himself as the club’s first choice striker.

Nketiah could depart Arsenal before the end of the transfer window

In total he has played 168 times for the North London side across all competitions, scoring 38 goals and providing seven assists.

It is claimed that talks between the Gunners and Forest are at an advanced stage, with an agreement over a £30 million deal close to being reached.

Nketiah’s current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but it appears increasingly likely that he could depart The Emirates before the end of the current window.

The report also claims that those in charge of Forest’s recruitment have presented Nketiah with a detailed proposal in an effort to persuade him to join the club, and it appears that it has proved successful.

Nketiah, a one-time England international, has agreed a move to the City Ground after being told by Forest boss Nuno Esperito Santo that he will be the club’s first-choice striker for the remainder of the current campaign.

Forest are on the hunt for a new striker before the window closes, with both Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood having suffered with injuries over the past couple of seasons.
