Arsenal will be hoping to continue their sensational run of Premier League form when they face Sheffield United on Monday evening.

The Gunners have won six league games on the bounce – scoring 25 goals in the process – to reignite their hopes of winning the top flight title this term.

A 1-0 defeat against Porto in the Champions League doesn’t appear to have hindered Arsenal, who produced a fine display to beat Newcastle United 4-1 last time out.

At present, Mikel Arteta’s side sit two points behind league leaders Liverpool, although the Reds can extend their advantage with victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Off the pitch, one of Arsenal’s most experienced players is attracting interest from his homeland as he nears the end of his current contract.

Jorginho’s future remains uncertain as he enters the final few months of his contract

As per The Evening Standard, midfielder Jorginho is the subject of interest from Italian clubs as he enters the final few months of his deal.

The report claims that the Gunners are planning to begin talks over an extension with the 32-year-old, but he would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club.

Juventus, Lazio, and Napoli are all said to have shown interest in the Italy international, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January last year.

Lazio are currently managed by Maurizio Sarri, who managed Jorginho in Naples and then signed him for Chelsea when he made the switch.

Having made more than 210 appearances for the Blues across all competitions, Jorginho has played 41 times for the Gunners.

The Italian has largely played a bit-part role under Arteta, but the report claims that the Spaniard is a huge admirer of the midfielder and is keen to keep hold of him beyond this summer.
