Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season courtesy of a dramatic late comeback against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Gunners fell behind at Stamford Bridge and found themselves 2-0 down shortly after half-time, but late goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard drew the visitors level and secured a point for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Having finished as runners-up to champions Manchester City last term, Arteta will be keen to see his side go one better this time around.

While his side may have made a promising start to the current campaign, it appears that one of Arteta’s players is unhappy at the club.

Midfielder Thomas Partey has endured a significant reduction in his playing time this season, and he is growing increasingly frustrated at his situation, according to 90min.

The Ghana international has started just three Premier League matches so far this season, due to a combination of injury and the arrival of Declan Rice over the summer.

Partey has played a bit-part role for Arsenal so far this season

Partey, 30, joined the Gunners from Spanish side Atletico Madrid back in 2020 and has since played an integral role for Arteta’s side.

He has made more than 100 appearances for the North London outfit across all competitions since his switch from Spain three years ago, but the arrival of Rice from West Ham United over the summer has threatened his chances of being a regular starter.

Having started the first three games of the Premier League season in a makeshift right-back role, Partey then missed four matches due to a groin injury, but he was only a second-half substitute on his return against Manchester City and remained on the bench for the game against Chelsea last time out.

With that in mind, the report claims that the midfielder is becoming frustrated at his situation and could push for a move away from the club if things don’t improve by the end of the year.

Partey is currently contracted to Arsenal until the summer of 2025.
