Arsenal continued their fine domestic run of form with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Gunners went ahead courtesy of a Sven Botman own goal, and forward Kai Havertz doubled their lead before the break.

Bukayo Saka added a third after the interval, before Jakub Kiwior grabbed the Gunners’ fourth.

Despite former Arsenal man Joe Willock’s late consolation goal, Arteta’s side held on to secure a fifth consecutive Premier League victory.

However, it appears that one Arsenal star is keen to depart The Emirates this summer.

According to Football Insider, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is keen to leave the club at the end of the current season after falling out of favour under Arteta.

The England international joined the club from Sheffield United in 2021 and was Arsenal’s first choice ‘keeper until the start of this season, when the Gunners signed David Raya from Brentford.

Ramsdale is keen to leave Arsenal this summer

The Spaniard has since established himself as number one and, although he is currently on loan from the Bees, he is expected to make his switch permanent this summer.

Ramsdale has made 88 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal since making the move from Bramall Lane, but only ten of those have been this season.

This provides stark contract to last term, when Ramsdale appeared in all 38 of Arteta’s side’s league games, helping the Gunners finish second in the table.

The 25-year-old is therefore keen to depart North London in search of regular first team football at a crucial time in his career.

It is claimed that clubs both in the Premier League and across Europe are preparing to make offers for the Englishman, whose current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
