Germany international midfielder is reportedly eyeing a summer switch to Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who narrowly fought off AFC Bournemouth 1-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, have been continuously linked with the Arsenal star, with his current deal at the Emirates Stadium set to expire at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 29-year-old, who has 88 international caps for his country, has scored two goals and provided five assists in 14 league appearances for The Gunners so far this season.

Ozil, who joined Arsenal back in September 2013 following his then club record £42.5m switch from Real Madrid, has netted 34 times in 175 games overall for Arsene Wenger’s side.

However, the German has failed to commit his future to The Gunners, despite being offered a new deal worth £235,000-a-week, meaning he can leave the Emirates on a free transfer next summer.

Ozil is understood to be after around £300,000-a-week, and is attracting interest from Premier League rivals United and La Liga giants FC Barcelona.
