Arsenal will hope to make it three wins from three Premier League games when they travel to the south coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side followed up their opening weekend victory over Wolves with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, laying down a marker for title rivals Manchester City.

The Gunners have bolstered the Spaniard’s squad this summer, with the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino arriving at The Emirates.

One player that had been expected to depart North London before the window shuts was full-back Jakub Kiwior, but Fabrizio Romano claims that the Poland international is now set to stay put.

He claims that Arsenal have informed the 24-year-old that he will not be sold in the final days of the window, despite interest in him from clubs in Europe.

Kiwior had been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal but is now likely to stay put

Spanish side Villarreal and Italian outfit Bologna are both credited with an interest in the Polish defender, who joined the Gunners from Serie A side Spezia in January last year.

Since then, the full-back has played a total of 38 times for the Gunners across all competitions, but he has failed to assert himself as first choice on either flank.

That prompted speculation that the defender would depart The Emirates, but Romano claims that he is now set to stay put at the club beyond the end of the current transfer window.

Kiwior’s current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 season.
