Mikel Arteta has made a steady start to his time in charge of Arsenal since he took the job in December.

The Spaniard has lost just two of his 15 matches in charge in all competitions as the Gunners still face an outside chance of snatching a Champions League spot when the season resumes.

As well as that the North London side are still in the hunt for a trophy as they face Sheffield United in the last-eight of the FA Cup.

Things have improved on the pitch compared to how they were left by former boss Unai Emery but, according to The Mirror, Arteta is still interested in signing a player his predecessor wanted.

Arteta wants to add to his Arsenal squad in the summer.

It’s claimed that Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is still on Arsenal’s shopping list as the North London side eye a possible free transfer.

The Scotland international’s Cherries deal runs out at the end of the season and he looks set to depart after failing to agree an extension so far.

After scoring seven goals and assisting 14 others in the 2018/19 season, Emery tried to sign the wide man last summer but bids of around £12million were knocked back by the Dorset club.

Fraser hasn’t quite hit the same heights this term with just one goal and four assists in 28 Premier League matches with the Cherries in the relegation zone.

But despite that he could still have an offer from a Premier League giant put him front of him come the end of the season.
