Arsenal will be hoping to stay in the hunt for the Premier League title with victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s side spent the majority of the campaign at the top of the table, before Manchester City defeated them and then leapfrogged them last month.

Despite a crucial 2-0 win against third-placed Newcastle United last week, Arsenal remain a point behind City who have a game in hand.

However, Arsenal have already qualified for the Champions League next term and they will make their first appearance in the competition since the 2016/17 campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side appear to have already started to look at potential signings in the summer to bolster their squad for another title challenge next season.

According to the Evening Standard, Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby has been identified as a player that Arsenal will target in the summer.

Diaby is one of many wingers that Arsenal will target in the summer.

The report states, though, that Arsenal are expected to be rivalled by French giants Paris Saint-Germain for the winger’s signature.

The 23-year-old has been in sensational form for the German outfit this term, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 44 matches across all competitions.

Diaby, 23, joined Leverkusen from French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and has since made more than 160 appearances for his current side.

The Frenchman has captured the attention of many European clubs including the Gunners, who are hoping to bolster their squad ahead of a Champions League campaign next term.

Diaby’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025, which could prompt Leverkusen to cash in on him this summer before his value decreases as he nears the expiry of his deal.

It has been reported that Xabi Alonso’s side have put a £65m price tag on the player, and it remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal would be willing to pay that much.
