New Arsenal signing Eberechi Eze could make his first start for the club when they host Nottingham Forest later this month.

The Gunners won their first two matches of the new Premier League season, but a 1-0 defeat at the hands of reigning champions Liverpool last time out left Mikel Arteta’s side third in the table.

Eze made his debut for the North London side during their defeat against Liverpool, but the England international could make his first start against Forest.

In the meantime, it appears that one of Arsenal’s transfer targets is set to make a decision on his future in the coming months.

According to TBR Football, Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is set to reconsider his future in January, after being heavily linked with a move away from the club over the summer.

Arsenal held talks to sign the Brazil international during the summer window, but the move never materialised and he ultimately stayed put in the Spanish capital.

The report claims that Manchester City have also shown interest in the 24-year-old, who is set to reevaluate his situation in the new year.

Having seemingly fallen out of favour following the arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso, several teams became aware that Rodrygo may be interested in a move away from the club over the summer.

It is claimed, however, that his teammates Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior persuaded him to stay, reiterating his importance to the Spanish giants.

Rodrygo has therefore decided to stay at Real Madrid at least until January, when he will make a decision on his long-term future.

Having joined Real from Brazilian side Santos in 2019, the winger has now scored 68 goals and registered 51 assists in 272 games for the Spanish giants across all competitions.
