Arsenal will hope to maintain their perfect start to the new season when they travel to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side have beaten both Wolves and Aston Villa in the opening fortnight of the new campaign, and they will hope to continue tat record at The Amex.

The Seagulls have also won both of their opening two matches, though, and will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the Gunners.

Off the pitch, it appears that one of Arsenal’s fringe players could be on his way out of the club in the coming week.

As per Football Insider, the North London club will allow Reiss Nelson to leave the club before the end of the transfer window if a suitable offer is received.

Nelson, 24, has been involved with Arteta’s first team for some time now but has never established himself as a regular starter at The Emirates.

Nelson could still depart Arsenal in the final days of the transfer window

The Englishman has made a total of 90 appearances for Arsenal at senior level, having graduated from their youth academy.

He made his first appearance of the season as a late substitute during Arsenal’s win at Villa Park on Saturday, but the report suggests that the Gunners will not stand in his way if he does seek a move away.

It is claimed that Premier League sides Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace had all shown interest in the player earlier this summer, but all were deterred by the Gunners’ valuation of Nelson.

His current contract with Arsenal is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but it appears increasingly likely that he will depart The Emirates this summer.
