Arsenal will reportedly have to pay more than £60 million if they want to sign their top striking target – Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski – this summer, according to the Sun.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is determined to bring in a world-class forward before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, and his top targets are understood to be Lewandowski and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, both of whom would cost more than £60 million.

The former has stalled on a new contract with the Bundesliga giants as they are currently refusing to match his wage demands, and Wenger, who is a long-term admirer of the 27-year-old, is ready to make a move for the Poland international.

If he fails with a move for the Pole, he could turn his attentions to Griezmann, although any deal for his French compatriot could be difficult after the attacker only signed a new five-year deal with Atletico in May.
