Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for record signing Nicolas Pepe this summer, according to reports.

As per The Sun, the Gunners are open to the prospect of selling the Ivorian this summer, in order to fund another summer spending spree.

Mikel Arteta added six players to his squad last summer having failed to qualify for any European competition last term, and the Spaniard looks set to utilise the transfer window once again.

Pepe joined Arsenal from French side Lille for £72 million in 2019, but has endured a tough time in the capital.

The winger has scored just 27 goals in 109 games for the club, a far cry from the form he showed in France, having scored 37 goals in 79 games for his former club.

This season, the 26-year-old has found himself out of favour under Arteta, having started just five Premier League games so far this term.

The Ivory Coast international is behind the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in the pecking order.

Arsenal are now resigned to the fact that they will lose a significant amount of money on Pepe, the report claims, and they are ready to listen to offers this summer.

The player is believed to be open to the prospect of a return to France, and would also consider moves to Spain or Italy.

If the Gunners can command a respectable fee for the player, Arteta will reinvest this summer, with a central midfielder, two strikers and a full-back on the club’s shopping list.

Arteta is set to oversee a huge summer overhaul, with as many as ten players potentially leaving the club to make way for more arrivals.
