Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Wolves at The Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunners have finished second behind Manchester City in each of the past two seasons, and manager Mikel Arteta will therefore have been pleased to see his side pick up all three points on the opening weekend.

Goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka earned the North London outfit all three points, with a trip to face Aston Villa up next for Arteta’s side.

In the meantime, though, it appears that those in charge of the club’s recruitment have made a big decision on the future of one of their players.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal will allow goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club on loan for the rest of the season if they receive an offer of £6 million.

The Englishman has fallen out of favour at The Emirates since the arrival of David Raya on an initial loan from Brentford last summer; a move which has since been made permanent.

Ramsdale was part of the England squad for the Euros this summer

Prior to that, 26-year-old Ramsdale has been the Gunners’ first choice ‘keeper after joining the club from Sheffield United in 2021.

Last term, though, he played just six times in the Premier League, and he has been heavily linked with a move away from North London this summer.

No club has yet met Arsenal’s price tag – believed to be around £30-40 million – meaning that the England international currently faces an extremely uncertain future.

The report suggests that Dutch side Ajax have shown interest in Ramsdale, who has played 89 times for the Gunners across all competitions over the course of his three years at the club.

Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and newly-promoted Southampton are also said to be in the running to land the Englishman.
