Away from the drama of the World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada, Premier League sides are busy in the transfer market ahead of the start of the new season.

The window officially opened earlier this month, and several top flight sides have already completed deals.

Champions Arsenal will likely be looking to add to Mikel Arteta’s squad following their triumph last term, with sporting director Andrea Berta heavily involved in the club’s transfer dealings.

With that in mind, however, it appears that the north London club could also be looking to offload players this summer, and reports suggest that they have lowered their asking price for one of their attackers.

As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal have lowered their asking price for striker Gabriel Jesus and could now accept offers as low as £20 million.

The report suggests that the Gunners value the Brazilian at £20-25 million, having initially put a price tag of £30 million on the player.

Jesus, 29, joined Arsenal from rivals Manchester City back in 2022 and has since made 123 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists.

He has been hampered by injuries over the past couple of years, though, and was limited to just three Premier League starts last term as Arteta’s side stormed to the top flight title.

The report suggests that Jesus’ at The Emirates could come to an end this summer, despite the 64-time Brazil international’s time having one more season remaining on his current contract.

While the player himself is not actively pushing for a move away, the report suggests that Arsenal are keen to sell the striker in order to lower their wage bill.

Premier League side Everton are long-term admirers of the Brazilian, but have not yet made an official bid for the player.

His former side Palmeiras, meanwhile, could also offer him a return to his homeland, the report claims.
