Arsenal are reportedly ready to splash out £50m in a bid to land Spain international forward Alvaro Morata this summer, according to Ok Diario (via the Daily Express).

The Premier League giants, who face Watford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, are interested in bringing the Juventus striker to the English top-flight come the conclusion of the current 2015-16 campaign.

The 23-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 38 appearances in all competitions for the defending Serie A champions so far this season.

Morata, who arrived at the Turin outfit from La Liga giants Real Madrid back in July 2014 for a reported fee of €20m, has also been attracting interest from rivals Manchester United in the past.

The report suggests that the Gunners are thought to have cash reserves of £138.8m, encouraging manager Arsene Wenger to spend big this summer on player recruitment.
