Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil reportedly wants to rejoin Real Madrid, according to Marca.

The Premier League side, who currently sit fourth in the English top-flight standings, just three points behind league leaders Chelsea after Sunday’s 3-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth, signed the Germany international from the La Liga giants back in 2013.

The 28-year-old, who has 83 international caps for his country and won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany in Brazil, has scored 27 goals and provided 47 assists in 134 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners since arriving at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil, who cost Arsenal a reported club-record £42.5m back in September 2013, is still in talks over a new deal with the Gunners, although he is understood to have outlined how much he enjoyed playing for Madrid, so a return to the Bernabeu is possible.

The report also adds that former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria, now with Paris Saint-Germain, is also offering his services to his former club.
