Granit Xhaka’s excellent performance in the North London derby, and improved displays in the matches before it, means he gets the nod over Francis Coquelin, who has struggled a bit in recent weeks.

He was impressive in the first half against Spurs, especially defensively where he broke up many attacks and kept Wanyama and Dembele on their toes.

However, he also looks good going forward, and retains the ball well and has an eye for a pass. Disciplinary issues may of concern to Wenger, but he is certainly growing into the midfield role at the Emirates.
