Name: Mesut Ozil
Arsenal fell slightly off course in the race for the Premier League title after taking just seven points from a possible 12 in February, but it was their Player of the Season to date who was once again impressive.
The German playmaker scored the opener in his side’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth, before setting up a last-gasp Danny Welbeck winner in what could prove to be a season-defining win against title rivals Leicester City at the Emirates.
The month ended with a disappointing 3-2 defeat against a depleted Manchester United side, but Ozil was one of the few Gunners to come out of the match with any credit, scoring one and assisting another, once again for Welbeck, meaning he now has 18 assists for the season.
That is just two away from Thierry Henry’s Premier League record, and Arsene Wenger will certainly be confident that the 27-year-old will beat that total, hopefully on the way to securing a first top flight title in 12 years.
