Name: Alexis Sanchez
Despite inconsistent results derailing Arsenal’s Premier League title bid throughout March, there was one standout performer who gave consistently solid performances last month, and that was forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 27-year-old, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium from FC Barcelona back in July 2014 from FC Barcelona in a deal worth around £35m, added another goal and two assists to his personal statistics this season as the Gunners disappointingly fell 11 points behind surprise league leaders Leicester City in the English top-flight.
Sanchez; who now has 12 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this term for Arsene Wenger’s men, teed up Joel Campbell’s opener against Swansea City at the start of the month, despite the hosts eventually being pinned back to a devastating 2-1 home defeat.
The Chile star then starred for 10-man Arsenal as he scored the eventual equaliser (2-2) at White Hart Lane to share the spoils with North London rivals Tottenham, before bagging another credible assist in the following 2-0 win at Everton after threading Danny Welbeck through on goal.
