Arsenal are reportedly lining up a raid for Algeria international star Riyad Mahrez, according to the Express.

The Premier League side, who hammered Stoke City 4-1 on Saturday at the bet365 Stadium to keep their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next term alive, have been continuously linked with a move for the Leicester City winger this summer.

The 26-year-old, who has 30 international caps for his country, has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for The Foxes so far this season.

Mahrez, who arrived at the King Power Stadium back in January 2014 from Le Havre, played a key role in Leicester’s fairytale 2015-16 title-winning campaign – netting 17 league goals.

However, with The Foxes now hovering down in 11th spot in the Premier League this term, the Algerian ace is set for pastures new ahead of the 2017-18 season, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger keen on luring the winger to the Emirates Stadium, despite the Frenchman’s own future in the capital still not being confirmed.

Mahrez is valued at around £30m and is currently on £100,000-a-week at the King Power Stadium.
