The French full-back moved to North London in 2014 for £12m and, in the early stages of his Arsenal career, he looked like a decent signing, both defensively and offensively.

However, Debuchy struggled to make the right-back position his own and eventually lost out to the rapidly-improving Hector Bellerin, who hasn’t put a foot wrong since.

A loan spell at Bordeaux earlier this year signalled the end of his time at Arsenal, and the French international tried to force a move away from the club during the summer, but to no avail.

Now though, it must be time to move Debuchy on – he’s clearly a surplus to requirements at the club, and it would be in both party’s best interests to sell the Frenchman on in January.

  1. Wrong! says:

    Gibbs? NEVER
He will take over from Monreal – probably later this season, definitely next season.
