Chelsea are reportedly interested in making a summer swoop for Belgium international Radja Nainggolan, according to the Daily Mail.
The defending Premier League champions, who currently sit tenth in the English top-flight standings following last weekend’s 2-2 draw against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge, have been linked with a move for the AS Roma midfielder once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded.
The 27-year-old, who has 17 international caps for his country and is expected to feature for Belgium at the Euro 2016 Championships later this year, has scored three goals and provided two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants so far this season.
Nainggolan, who is also thought to be attracting interest from fellow Italian giants and defending champions Juventus, has been prioritised as one of the Blues’ top transfer targets this summer should Antonio Conte be appointed manager.
The Italy national team coach has been heavily tipped to become the club’s permanent manager, replacing interim boss Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge, once he leaves his post with Italy after Euro 2016.
The report suggests that Roma will want around £35m for Nainggolan’s services.
