Aston Villa to beat Liverpool and Stoke to Barcelona star

Aston Villa are reportedly set to beat Liverpool and Stoke to the signing of Barcelona winger Adama Traore.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs all summer, but it seems as though Tim Sherwood’s side are set to win the race for the forward’s signature on a three-year deal.

Traore impressed for the Catalan giants’ B team in the 2014/15 campaign, making 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals, as well as picking up an impressive 14 assists.

Villa got their season off to the perfect start on Saturday with a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Bournemouth, and will be looking to push on after narrowly avoiding the drop last term.
