Name: Rudy Gestede
Position: Striker

When he moved to Villa Park from Blackburn Rovers in the summer, Gestede would have been hoping that his debut season in the Premier League would have gone better than it has.

With the club losing 20 of their 30 league matches to date, it has been a real struggle for a player that has often been isolated up front, but he has still managed to score five goals.

Name: Jordan Ayew
Position: Forward

While his brother Andre moved to Swansea, Jordan decided to make the move to Villa Park from Ligue 1, and while he has endured a tough debut season in the top flight, he is one of the few Villans’ players that could earn a move in the summer if, as expected, Remi Garde’s men suffer relegation to the Championship.

The Ghana international is the club’s joint-top goalscorer in the league with five goals, and will be looking to add a few more before the season is out.

Name: Jordan Veretout
Position: Midfielder

Another summer signing, who reportedly turned down a move to the current Premier League leaders, Leicester City, Veretout is another player who has put in some consistent performers in a team that has struggled at the bottom for the whole campaign.

While he may regret his decision not to move to the Foxes now, he is another who could still secure a move back to the top flight in the summer.
