Name: Libor Kozak
Position: Striker

We think Villa have been so poor this season that our most improved player is Libor Kozak, who didn’t even play last term.

A ridiculously difficult choice when you consider the disastrous season Aston Villa have had up to this point.

Bottom of the Premier League and 10 points from safety, the Midlands club look set to be relegated to the second-tier of English football for the first time since 1988.

Additionally, their better performers – Jordan Ayew and Jordan Veretout – both arrived in the summer so are therefore excluded from our vote.

After going through the whole of the squad the only player we could point to as having improved from last term is striker Libor Kozak, because he’s at least actually played this term.

The 26-year-old was unfortunate to miss the whole of the last campaign with a horrific injury but since being integrated back into the first-team, Villa have lost just one of the four matches the former Lazio man’s been involved in.

Fans in the Holte End will now be hoping he can notch his first goal since December 2013 and help the club at least put up a fight in what seems an almost impossible situation.
