Player of the Round: Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace)
Palace’s winger was a thorn in the side of the Hornets throughout Sunday’s game at Wembley, and struck the first blow for the Eagles in the tie after six minutes, rising at the back post to head home their opening goal.
The 26-year old used his trickery to force a save out of goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon early in the second-half, and helped make space and time later in the half for Papa Souare to set up Connor Wickham for their second and seal a 2-1 win for the South London side.
Team of the Round: Crystal Palace
Having won only one of their last 18 Premier League games, the Eagles have had to rely on the FA Cup for victories to cheer about at Selhurst Park for the past four months, but their cup run has seen them set up a replay of the 1990 final against Manchester United.
Alan Pardew’s side took the early initiative through Bolasie’s opener, and bounced back quickly after Troy Deeney’s second-half equaliser, with Wickham heading home just after the hour mark to seal the Croydon side’s second appearance in an FA Cup final.
Goal of the Round: Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
Louis van Gaal’s side needed a last-gasp winner to make it past Everton on Saturday afternoon, with French international Martial stepping up to give the Red Devils a chance to win the competition for the 12th time.
The 20-year old helped start the series of passing that set him up for United’s second goal. A quick one-two with Marcus Rashford allowed Martial to feed the ball to Ander Herrera, who set up the former Monaco man to score three minutes into added time.
