Manager of the Month: Mark Robins (Scunthorpe)

Although both Wigan and Coventry went through the entire month unbeaten, we’ve opted for Scunthorpe’s Mark Robins as our Manager of the Month. After a poor start to the season, Scunny’s boss was under massive pressure ahead of his side’s six October fixtures. But five wins and just one defeat has catapulted The Iron into ninth and just four points off the top-seven.

Player of the Month: Paddy Madden (Scunthorpe)

Paddy Madden is firing on all cylinders

Irish striker Paddy Madden has once again shown his finishing qualities with five goals in six October matches. The 25-year-old struck in wins against Fleetwood, Oldham, Shrewsbury and twice in the victory at Chesterfield to take his league tally to nine for the season.
