There are very few squads in world football, if any, who can match the quality and experience of Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side was already top quality when he added Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho to the club; however the return of Cristiano Ronaldo has taken them to a completely different level.

They are currently joint top of the Premier League, tying with Chelsea and Liverpool on 13 points, and they already look like serious title contenders.

Ronaldo’s four goals in three appearances has sent an ominous message to the rest of the division that the five-time Ballon D’Or winner is ready to annihilate the division.

Unfortunately for Anthony Martial, Ronaldo’s return means his days at Old Trafford look numbered, and according to Eurosport, Barcelona are eying up a move for the Frenchman.

Anthony Martial almost left Manchester United in the summer.

At times, the 25-year-old has displayed the very talent, dynamism, and attacking instincts of a potential world class striker.

Unfortunately, 78 goals in 263 appearances paints a very disappointing picture, and it does not appear Solskjaer is convinced by the former Monaco forward.

All four of his Premier League appearances this season have come from the bench, and when United were desperate for a winner in their 2-1 away victory against West Ham, Solskjaer turned to Lingard instead of the Frenchman.

Perhaps that tells you all you need to know about Solskjaer’s future at Old Trafford, and Barcelona could be waiting in the wings.

The Catalans could pounce on the forward in the January transfer window, as it is understood Martial will be allowed to leave in January if a suitable offer comes in.
