FC Barcelona are reportedly scouting England Under-16 international Emile Smith-Rowe.

The La Liga giants have been spotted watching the Arsenal forward showcase his ability at the Nike International Tournament against the likes of USA, Brazil and Holland in Florida.

Smith-Rowe, who returned to England back on Monday, is highly-rated at the Gunners having become the first-ever player to represent the Premier League club at Under-18 level who was born in this century.

The 15-year-old, who doesn’t turn 16 until next July, has been likened to first-team stars Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain having joined Arsenal back when he was just nine-years-old.

The club have exhanged youth players with Barcelona in the past; with defender Hector Bellerin leaving the Nou Camp’s academy for the Emirates in 2011, whilst Cesc Fabregas was another one who left for the Gunners, only to re-sign for Barca four years ago in a deal worth £35m.
