Defender Cedric Soares is fully focused on Southampton’s return to Premier League action tomorrow, after a hectic couple of weeks.

The 25-year-old, who joined The Saints back in June 2015 following his move from Sporting CP, has been linked with a summer move to La Liga giants FC Barcelona, before losing 3-2 at Wembley Stadium to the hands of Manchester United in the 2017 EFL Cup final last Sunday.

But Cedric, who has 16 international caps for Portugal, is seemingly looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Watford in the English top-flight (15:00).

The right-back, who has provided one assist in 22 appearances in all competitions for Claude Puel’s side so far this season, posted a message on Twitter (Above) saying, “We’re ready for the Premier League again!” – with the Portuguese’s arm around fellow defender Martín Caceres in training.

Southampton, who haven’t played in the top-flight since February 11, have slipped down to 13th in the Premier League table following six defeats in their last eight league outings.
