Brentford are reportedly chasing Anderlecht defender Maxime Colin.

The Bees are on the lookout for a new right-back following the £3.5m sale of Moses Odubajo to Championship rivals Hull City earlier this summer.

The 23-year-old, who is a former France Under-20 international, scored one goal in 25 appearances in all competitions for Anderlecht last season following last year’s move from Troyes AC.

Reports suggest that Colin was in London yesterday discussing personal terms with Brentford ahead of a potential move, who could join fellow Frenchmen Yoann Barbet, Raphael Calvet and Toumani Diagouraga at Griffin Park before the close of the transfer window.

Colin would become new Bees head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen’s tenth summer signing at the club.
