Former Man United, Tottenham and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov has returned to his old club in Manchester as he looks to engineer a return to Premier League football.

According to reports from Bulgarian publication Sportal (via, Manchester Evening News), the former Premier League hitman is keen on one last shot in the English top flight and will train with Jose Mourinho and his side next week in order to get back to the required fitness level.

The 35-year-old, who is a free agent having left Greek side PAOK earlier this year, scored 94 goals in 229 Premier League outings during his time in English football.

Twice a Premier League champion, in 2009 and 2011 with Man United, the Bulgarian would be a great addition to any side in need of a quick-fix up top in January.

Despite his age, the leading man still possesses a lethal touch in front of goal, with nearly 250 club career goals to his name.
