Ghanaian international Andre Ayew has endured a frustrating start to his West Ham career, having sustained a thigh injury against Chelsea on the opening day of the season which ruled him out for over two months.

However, the 27-year-old netted the crucial equaliser in their draw with Watford last time out, and alongside his strike against former club Swansea on Boxing Day, it means that the forward has scored twice in his last four Premier League appearances.

The £20 million man ideally needs a run in the first team to get back to the levels he produced at Swansea, and with Antonio suspended and question marks over Andy Carroll’s fitness, he could be in line to start against the Blues on Monday.
