Black Cats join the hunt for League One star

Sunderland are reportedly monitoring Sheffield United star Che Adams.

The Premier League side join fellow top flight outfit Tottenham in the race for the 19-year-old, who only arrived at the Blades from non-league side Ilkeston back in November.

Adams, who scored twice against Chesterfield on Saturday, scored three goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for the League One club last season.

With Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat eager to bolster his attacking options ahead of the close of the transfer window on September 1, it is thought that Sunderland are set to test Sheffield United’s resolve over their talented youngster.
