Blackburn Rovers have reportedly launched a loan offer for Premier League striker Danny Graham, according to Sky Sports.

The Championship side, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend, want to take the out-of-favour Sunderland hitman on loan during the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old, who is a former England Under-20 international, has failed to score in 12 appearances in all competitions for the Black Cats this season.

Graham, who arrived at the Stadium of Light for a reported £5m back in January 2013 from Swansea City, is wanted by Rovers boss Paul Lambert at Ewood Park this month amid fears he could lose talisman Jordan Rhodes.

However the forward’s reported £35,000-a-week wages could prove a stumbling block for Blackburn.
