The 32-year-old is currently training with the Northern Irishman’s former club, Celtic, in order to win a deal, but Lancashire-based outfit are ready to hi-jack any potential deal.

Cole has made more than 200 appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea, Charlton, Aston Villa and West Ham, scoring 40 goals in England’s top-flight.
