Both Manchester United and Arsenal are set to hijack transfer for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes who was set to join Everton, according to The Express. 

The Express are sensationally reporting that the defender had visited Everton’s training ground before the Coronavirus pandemic and was almost a certainty to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

However, it now seems Magalhaes’ options are now open with Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and United registering their interest in the 22-year-old.

Ancelotti wants to take Everton to the next level.

The Brazilian is a well thought of young talent who has impressed this season with Lille. It is likely that all three Premier League clubs will face competition from other European giants, with reports from the Mirror suggesting PSG and Napoli could also be interested.

Red Devils’ boss is clearly after a partner alongside Harry Maguire, whilst Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be desperate to bolster the defensive side of his Gunners’ squad.
