AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are set to make January moves for England international defender Steven Caulker.
The Premier League duo are both understood to be keen on signing the Queens Park Rangers centre-half this month, despite currently being on a season-long loan with fellow English top-flight rivals Southampton.
The 24-year-old, who made his international debut for the Three Lions against Sweden back in November 2012, has made just three league appearances for Ronald Koeman’s Saints so far this campaign.
With Eddie Howe’s Cherries desperate to stay in the top-flight for a second successive term and Alan Pardew’s Eagles chasing European football next season; both outfits are keen on acquiring Caulker’s services this month, although Championship side QPR are likely to ask around £5m for his signature.
However Southampton, QPR and Caulker himself would all have to agree to cut short his loan spell at St Mary’s Stadium early for any January transfer to be made possible.
